President’s Report – 07.14

by Michael Norvell

Tim Hassett has served our Timbergrove Manor community as president for well over two years. One of his legacies is TMNA’s commitment to helping each homeowner to get the most out of their investment. Whether that be living in a fun-loving neighborhood, having a safe community in which to raise kids, or getting the most return from a real estate perspective, we are all grateful.  Thank you Tim!

I have been asked to succeed Tim in his role; and in doing so, I am asking each TMNA member to think about how we can collectively continue to add value to our community.  Below are a few long-term projects on the TMNA’s radar.  Which of these projects are you interesting in supporting?

Timbergrove’s First Annual 5k Run – This TMNA fundraising event is set for April 18, 2015.  We are looking for volunteers, sponsors, and participants of all ages.

TMNA Esplanade Development – Long-term improvement of the medians on T.C. Jester, West 11th, and Worthshire has long been among TMNA’s goals.  We are looking for ideas and supporters to make this vision into a reality.

Neighborhood Involvement Campaign – We have the opportunity to increase association participation through events like those named above and others.  There are many people who are interested in getting involved—especially our new neighbors—who need to learn about TMNA’s events and projects.

Community Enhancement Projects – Our Community Enhancement Team does a phenomenal job orchestrating ways to keep the neighborhood in top shape.  We are always looking for additional participants and new ideas to distinguish our community.

The next TMNA quarterly meeting is an opportunity to discuss how we can continue to add value to our community as well as capture the kind of TMNA future we would like to create.  The meeting will be Thursday, July 31st at 7:00PM at the Lazybrook Baptist Church at 1822 W. 18th Street.  Please remind your neighbors—especially our newest additions—to come and share any thoughts anyone may have.  If you cannot make it, feel free to email me your comments.  We hope to see you there.  -  MPN
